About the Magazine
Fiction & Poetry
Fiction & Poetry was born from the underground literary scene in New York City. As it is for the poetry readings in dim bars, or the fiction workshops held ad hoc in basements, or the working cohorts with no institutional affiliation meeting in cafes, the magazine was founded solely out of passion for the two things we aim to publish. Our focus is simple — to champion practitioners of literary craft, no matter the author's pedigree or lack thereof. To do good work, publishing good work. In preparation for our first ever issue, we are now accepting submissions in our eponymous genres for publication both in print and online.
Fiction & Poetry works in collaboration with The Writing Group, and is staffed by its members. A community of writers in the New York metropolitan area, the Group's mission is to develop the craft of its members, provide networking opportunities, and create a greater social circle for those practicing this art at any level.
